“Thimos”(gr. enthusiasm) is an educational program to be expanded over the medium to long term. The program debuted in 2004 by developing a pilot training sessions for the Pro Patrimonio volunteers in order to prepare teams for working in the future cooperation projects. The first training session consisted in two distinct modules: General Introduction in Management; The Management of the Project: some Technical Tools. Eight young peoples participated in this pilot training program. Pro Patrimonio issued certificates of participation. “Thimos” programme will develop: more volunteer opportunities; summer schools for students; eeducational projects for young peoples, heritage in school scheme - information on the value of the natural and built heritage; basic rules and regulations for heritage preservation and protection; exchange of experience; field-trips and work-camps for increasing young people's awareness and their determination to get involved to a larger extent in the re-assessment of the heritage. |
