This is a long term partnership Project aiming at protecting the cultural diversity of the Saxon landscape. Pro Patrimonio and its partners will provide management and technical expertise to build up a heritage map, heritage trail and network of signs for the area (along the roads leading to interesting heritage sites, but also complementary information available in churches, local museums , old schools, manors, etc), for tourism itineraries and subsequent development. This signing and advertising network also include natural environment (e.g. local flora and fauna and landscape), as well as emerging ecological farming projects. The Project will result in creating an integrated protected area (historic heritage – vernacular, public, ecclesiastical - , natural environment – landscaping), in order to stop misuse and destruction of all these elements and transform the whole area into a pilot model of a replicable strategy for similar economic and socio-cultural environments.
