The mission statement
Pro Patrimonio - Romania is a non-government organization whose mission is to identify, preserve, and advocate for the historic and natural heritage of Romania. It aims to restore, rescue and revitalize endangered buildings and sites for the benefit of future generations. Pro Patrimonio - Romania belongs to an international network of Romanian National Heritage Trust organizations (located in UK, France, USA) which are legally independent, being related to each other by their common aim and target – the rescue of historic and natural heritage in Romania.
Pro Patrimonio - Romania was established by architect Serban Cantacuzino, CBE FSA D.Univ .(York) FRIBA, on 10 March 2000 and has its headquarters in Bucharest and two other branches in:

In 2003, Pro Patimonio became a member of Europa Nostra, the pan European umbrella organization that maintains and promotes the conservation of natural and built heritage. The president of Europa Nostra is HRH The Prince Consort of Denmark. Founded in 1963 by a group of heritage Non-Governmental Organizations headed by Italia Nostra in the Office of the Council of Europe, Europa Nostra Organization maintains and promotes the conservation of natural and build heritage.
On 29 November 2004 - His Majesty the King Mihai I of Romania accepted the invitation to become Pro Patrimonio's patron.
