Project Selection Criteria

Pro Patrimonio selects carefully the projects it supports. The cultural and historic aspects, the financial and legal ones and, finally, management questions are taken into consideration. One of the most important aspects of our restoration policy is to make sure that the monuments we restore are alive and used.

partnership with the romanian ministry of culture

The Pro Patrimonio Foundation has been selected by the Romanian Ministry of Culture as a special advisor to help define a new legislation framework compatible with European Union legislation for the management and preservation of the architectural heritage. Within the ten-year partnership agreement Pro Patrimonio will also participate in several other projects, one of them being the co-ordinatation of the development of urban historic centers in Romania.

Pro Patrimonio will help develop and manage a "Heritage Observatory" for the city of Bucharest, in co-operation with the Order of Architects of Romania and the Institute of Architecture and Urbanism "Ion Mincu" of Bucharest.
